New Twitter Policy

As with all anti-corruption 5th Estate accounts we have been experiencing shadowbanning on the Twitter platform.

We first noticed this illicit activity and other anti-democratic slants last year - see here  Why Twitter Is Now Crap  - but recent revelations by a former employee coupled with projected changes in Twitter algorithms due in January 2020 mean that the platform no longer functions as effective media.

So.
We are making some changes.

1) We will no longer publish Exclusives on Twitter.
2) We have locked the Twitter account so there will be no more Followers allowed in future.
3) All Followers are now, in effect, in a Select Group of around 9,000 people who will receive future tweets.
4) If a Follower leaves or is blocked, it is permanent. You are not coming back.
5) Scarcity will give your Following a value as things progress.
6) Soon the Football is Fixed blog will be locked too. All Twitter Followers will have access. But that is another story for another time.
7) Eventually, we will permanently close the @footballisfixed Twitter account but with ample warning.

Football is Fixed will continue to offer the best exclusives and analytics of corruption.
